Education Level
The Educational Level membership provides the following benefits to partnering organizations:- Ability to influence the future of enterprise architecture education at multiple levels (undergraduate, graduate, and professional education)
- Ability to contribute to the continuing evolution of the enterprise architecture discipline
- Early access to research findings and reports
- Members at the education level will receive pre-publication copies of all research publications generated by the center (at least one month prior to publication)
- Participation in curricular design discussions for the professional masters, undergraduate degree, and professional development courses
- The current educational working committees will become part of the EA research center. Working groups in master, undergraduate, and professional development education will continue efforts in these areas
- Exposure to undergraduate students with an interest in enterprise architecture
- Education level members will get first access to speaking with these students as well as other undergraduate engagement opportunities
- Virtual guest lecturing opportunities in the online professional masters program
- Education level members will get first access to virtual guest speaking opportunities in various courses within the EA professional master program
- Members will also get exclusive opportunities to submit topical video clips to be used in online graduate and undergraduate courses
- Sponsorship of EA capstone projects for the undergraduate program
- Members will get first opportunity to sponsor capstone EA undergraduate projects. The $2,500 project fee will be waived for one project per year for members. More information on the capstone project model can be found at: http://ea.ist.psu.edu/consulting.php
- Special consideration in the recruiting of undergraduate EA students
- Our career services unit will provide customized assistance in the recruiting of undergraduate EA students to member companies
- National recognition as a thought leader in enterprise architecture curriculum development
- We will provide several opportunities per year for public recognition of our members in the form of press releases and magazine and journal articles
- Preference for employees from participating organizations that are interested in the limited enrollment online professional masters program and professional development courses
- Employees from member corporations will receive first enrollment privileges in our limited enrollment masters course and professional development courses
- The opportunity to network with other leading EA professionals from around the globe

Research Level
The Research Level membership provides ALL of the benefits of the Education Level membership plus these additional benefits:- Ability to participate in a unique EA research center that has direct linkages with educational efforts and bridges a variety of types of organizations, industries, and perspectives
- Ability to influence the direction of EA research at IST
- Research level members have voting rights on the priorities and directions of the research streams of the center. We intend to explore four to six research streams per year
- First access to research findings and reports
- Research members have first access to research data, early analysis of data, report drafts and final research reports/papers. The research members collectively decide when to release research reports to members at the education level and the overall community
- Exclusive access to research tools and software
- Research members have exclusive access to all research tools, templates, and software developed by the center
- Participation in virtual and face-to-face research meetings
- We intend to have at least two meetings of the research level members per year and several virtual events during the year. Locations of the face-to-face meetings may vary and will be determined by the overall research group. Organizations participating in individual research streams may meet at other times during the year as needed
- Joint research, publishing, and presentation opportunities with IST center faculty
- Research findings from individual research streams will be jointly published with IST faculty and individuals from organizations participating in a particular research stream. The faculty and individuals working in a particular research stream will determine appropriate outlets for publications and presentations of the research from the stream
- National recognition as a thought leader in enterprise architecture research
- We will provide several opportunities per year for public recognition of our research members in the form of press releases, magazine and journal articles, and various books
- Exposure to graduate students with an interest in enterprise architecture
- Research members will gain exposure to masters and PhD students with an interest in the field of enterprise architecture
- Access to EA undergraduate honors research students
- Research members will get first access to undergraduate honors students with EA research interests. Students will be matched with members to conduct honors thesis research at no charge to the member corporation. Honors research projects typically are one to two years in duration
Non-Profit Level - Complimentary
Non-profit industry associations and government agencies receive complimentary, non-voting membership. These organizations are involved in the research and education discussions and their input is considered. However, they enjoy limited, non-voting membership benefits. In return for this membership, these organizations agree to consider providing access to their organizations and/or members when needed for research related data collection as well as complimentary memberships (if applicable) for EA center faculty.
The limited benefits of the complimentary membership include:
- Ability to influence the future of enterprise architecture education at multiple levels (undergraduate, graduate, and professional education)
- Ability to contribute to the continuing evolution of the enterprise architecture discipline
- Ability to participate in a unique EA research center that has direct linkages with educational efforts and bridges a variety of types of organizations, industries, and perspectives

In-Kind Donations
Corporations that wish to donate software, hardware, subscriptions, content, and other in-kind items may receive a percentage discount on the yearly membership fee. The percentage of the discount, as well as the duration of the discount, will be based upon an assessment of the unique and direct value of the donation specific to the mission of the center and will be determined in consultation with an appointed advisory committee.
